[HELP] Nikon D90 setting CLS

I just bought Nissin Di866 flashgun...
i want try the wireless...
i want know how to set it?
when i open a built-in flash, then Di866 just will flash...
If i no using the built-in flash, it cant flash...
y?
any setting?

same goes to me, i use sb800... then it will only flash when i open my built-in-flash.

For Canon, yes! For Nikon, i think oso the same. But the build in flash is only fires a very low amount of light, just to give signal to the remote flash.

Built in flash is an optical trigger only, TTL etc is done through radio from the body itself.

Depends your flash using what channel. If it is channel A and 1 then you set it to be A1 on your body. TTL or manual is up to you. You want TTL then set to TTL, want manual then set to manual.

TTL -> Automode haha!
